At MOTD this year Todd of Todd's Mods put on a pair of GS style stripes on GNAT. These were first seen last year at MOTD on the Detroit Tuned MINI where I wanted to get set as well. Also Todd did not have the vinyl handy to do the job. My patience persevered and by the fortuitous chance there was some extra stripes in the just the silver at MOTD this year.

Thanks to Michigan MINI for the picture.

GNAT's Gnu is just me having fun with alliteration. I do enjoy a bit of the word play now and again.

The stripes are "GranSport" stripes. Back in the 60's before the real onset of sponsor liveries on race cars the Corvette GranSport team had 3 cars all in the same blue paint. To distinguish then from one another as they went zipping by the pits 2 diagonal hash marks adorned the front drivers side fender. These are an homage to them.

That is a refreshing change, unique and understated, but classy too. I like it.
