Don't think I've seen to many with that stripe selection. Looks good. Where did you get them from?

That one is about 5.6 mph. Tested.

P.S. Having it centered like that on your steering wheel should help with staying on the driving line in GT 5 Prologue.

From looking around, I came to understand that it's called the Driver-Stripe or Driver-Side-Stripe. I told my local mini dealer that's what I wanted and they seemed to know exactly what I meant. I think its a John Works Cooper stripe or something.

And I was hoping they'd give me 5mph. 5.6 is a full 10% more than expected. Sweet! Probably because I splurged and did the bumpers too. :)

I'm not a big fan of stripes, but I do like that one.

    That's a fine stripe.......

Back in the old days....scratch....scratch......spit, that was the only stripe worth getting. We called it a Racing Stripe!

Right up over the steering wheel and back down over the boot. That way you could line yourself up on the car in front and scoot around the track.

Them old Bugeyes, Midgets, MKIII Sprites sure looked fine with that single stripe.

    I like it!

    Nicely done!

    Here's an old picture......

Thats cool. I had no idea of the history and I like the whole "lining up" concept. Makes it even neater.

And I have to say, that I've been quite impressed with my local Mini Dealer. The quality of work on the stripe, I think, was exceptional.

Very cool, everytime someone looks at mine (passenger side only) I get these odd looks. My usual explanation is "I was going sooooo fast the other one peeled off...."

I got some pretty cool video of rallying a couple of local canyons this weekend. I'm encoding and editing the video (hopefully today) so I can post them up. The single stripe does look pretty cool, Thanks guys!

Also, since an official stripe guy is on this thread, how worred/cautious should I be about these stripes with regards to washing? I'd hate to have some high pressure auto-wash remove the stripes for me. That would be sad.

    Nah......here's my car.......'66 S......

We only ran one tank but kept all the glass. On race days we would put big "X"'s on the glass with electrical tape and also "X" out the headlights.....put on my Bell Magnum helmet and away we'd go. Chewed up tires like crazy.

    What a hoot.

That's great! I saw a Mini classic this morning, I'm thinking those are actually smaller than a Smart 2for. Definitely lower
