Next Event will be our Grandfather Mountain Drive on April 27th. We will be leaving at 8:25 am from the Arby's on the corner of US 321 and 15th Ave NE just before crossing the Catawba River into Caldwell County. All members wanting to meet us in Blowing Rock, we will be leaving Shoppes on the Parkway between 9:10 and 9:20. We will then leave for Grandfather Mountain via US 221. If we can get a group of 20 people we can get a group rate. We are trying to get to Grandfather prior to 10:00 due to the large volume of visitors during this time. The earlier the better. Everyone bring a cover dish, a blanket or something to sit on. We will have a picnic in McRae Meadows after we come down the mountain. Then we will head back on NC 181 thru Morganton. Ticket prices if we are able to get 20 people: 60 and Over- $13, Adults- $16, Children 4 to 12 yrs- $7 My phone number is 828-962-8909.
