Cool name! A green flash happens just as the sun dips below the horizon on a clear day at sea. The sun shines, just for an instant, through the sea causing a bright green flash of light at the horizon. It is a pretty rare occurrence, conditions must be just right. In nearly 30 years of working on ships, I've seen it twice. Dave
Sunset Tie Yes, a green flash is a rare sunset phenomenom occuring over water. We collect sunset memories, many as we travel by water. Once, in the Abaco Islands, Bahamas, we were treated to a green flash. The name ties our cruising on the water and love for the beauty of nature to our new-to-us green MINI. One, which has brought us so much fun that we went out an purchased a chili red one.
Chili Red Also Mentioned in previous post that Green Flash inspired us to expand the garage to include a new-to-us Chili Red R53. Should have illustrated the comment with an image - so have attached below.
