I am going to be trying to do a little custom work on my Aero Kit. I am tired of the bottom grill only allowing half of the air in, and the rear decals were decals!
So www.customcargrills.com has all sorts of different material to use, and the Perf Gt is close to the stock Hex pattern. So my idea is to dome the grills as I customize the front and rear.
The front has the 3 normal grills, but I am also going to make a set for the fog area, then do the 2 rear areas where the decals were. The question is, has anyone done this from scratch like this, not someone else's kit? Nathan I know you have done a ton to yours, what do you think?
Also, I know how to take off the front bumper, but have never taken off the rear bumper.
I might also redo the black painted areas of the aero with bedliner paint to match the texture of the plastic :)

If you'll contact me, I can share some info with you regarding removing the rear bumper. Also, I've got some paint info for you that will match the rough textured plastic as close as I've been able to find...

I'm sure you know this already but the parts of the 2 grilles on the bumper that are not open are that way to keep you from seeing the bumper brace behind there. Could just paint it all black to hide it though.

Thanks, I already have the bedliner paint that I am going to use, and have matched a textured roller that should get me the needed texture. I want to use the bedliner to keep the rear aero bumper part from getting sand blasted off again from the CO road grime. If I have to, I will also put it on the plastic trim, but hope I don't have too.

I am thinking of using the same bedliner to paint those areas too. Lots of uses for this stuff.:aureola:
