Today is the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street first airing. I know many of us grew up watching this show. Thought I'd post some of my favorite video clips.

Add some of yours as well.

Nobody ever mentions it but Sesame Street sometimes has better musical guests than Saturday Night Live, the truth is you've really made it as an artist once you've sung the ABCs on Sesame Street.

I'm older than SS, but I spent many hours watching it with my kids.

I watched it some as a kid in the 90's. I liked Bert and Ernie, still have some of the cassette tapes of their skits and singalongs from back in the day.

In terms of what effected my development the most though, I'd say Star Trek TNG had a greater influence on my morality, treatment of others, and personal behavior & conduct. I used to watch it with my dad, probably since I was 1 or 2, until it ended in '94.
