I just installed a set of Blizzak LM-60's..RFT..winter tires also of course by Bridgestone. I picked up the car and drove home in the dark. Not sure if they are the new 3G, but I was convinced they could not be RFT because the ride was so much better than the Dunlop summer SP01 RFT I had just removed. When I pulled into my garage I had to look to see if they really were RFT.
The runflats on my new R53 where hard like rocks. I hated them so much they were replaced with normal tires at 6,000 miles. I have over 1,000 miles in R56 loaners (thanks MINI). The runflats on the loaners rode better than the normal tires on my R53. I attribute some of that to the R56 suspension being a bit softer & also to the newer generation of runflats the R56 came with.
