Okay MINI enthusiasts have you ever wrecked your MINI or put it in the ditch by pushing too hard? What's your story? Race tracks not included.

Yes. Even got video of the whole thing out there on the youtube. Lots of factors I could point to, but ultimately I F***ED UP. Never should have made the left turn until I had the clear view.

Good thing is there were no serious injuries (because nobody was riding with me).

Learned you really should not try and reset the car by shutting down and restarting while doing 70 MPH on the Highway. The Steering Wheel llockedmon me, then car spun and I was facing an 18 Wheeler. Yeah, that was a pucker moment.

Luckily, I got it refired and out of harms way.

Haven't crashed mine on track or on the road, but I did submerge it once. After the fish were removed from the engine bay all was well. Nothing damaged, the fish were delicious.

A link to the video would me nice.

Oh no! You better look out! You have Jinxed yourself.

I was rear ended by a kid in traffic. I felt sorry for him he had never had a accident. New bumper and hatch some paint and it's good as new.

I got blindsided by some arsehole as I was leaving a parking space in my first Mini, in 1963. I had looked and no one was there, pulled out and the arsehole ran the light behind me and plowed into me. The cops wanted to cite me for "assured clear distance" but then they found that Mr. Arsehole didn't have a valid license, to boot.

I was 17 at the time, so I guess that's why the cops felt compelled to cite me until they found out about the other guy's penchant for not following the law.

It was my first MINI. An '09 R56 S. It was rebuilt. I drove it for another year, then traded it in and upgraded to my current '06 R53.

    Love that video Savvy.

I have it saved also as a reminder of what not to do at the Dragon.

I look at it as a good thing since you upgraded from an R56 to an R53.:lol:

Oh boy, I remember that day! Myself, I came close ditching it a couple of

times on some runs. Now one of those SAAB's (actually two) were a dif-

ferent story, one totaled one not so much!

I remember that one too. YIKES!!! Got there as that poor lady was climbing out of her car. She was really out of it & kept asking me what had happened. Stayed with her until the squad arrived. Luckily only metal was bent & not flesh & bones.

That is a terrible place for a driveway, bad line of sight & that day a low glaring sun for you coming in. When traveling in that direction I use the next drive for obvious reasons.

I haven't wrecked my MINI but a telephone poll just jumped out in front of another car I had back when I was 18. Damn gravel in the corner.

I always have a tow strap in the car. Every car in the family has one along with tools, flairs and fix a flat.

Slid my 2003 R53 into a round-about curb. Not really much damage but car was totaled because floor pan bent right at seat belt mount. Now 8 years of driving my 2006 R53 safety.

As I had reported a couple years back, I got hit by a clueless female who ran the 4-way stop sign four blocks from my house...

    Quite the pricey flesh wound.
