Has anyone replaced a headlight washer cover? It just doesn't seem possible to line up .

Are you talking about the tow hook cover? Mini's don't have headlight washers.

Xenon headlights have headlight washers. I haven't replaced one though.

What year MINI? It's very easy to do on the first gens.

I would have to see it but it should be like the first gens. Except for our lights are mounted on our hood. Open the hood and you will see beside the light a plastic pump and a arm coming out of it.

If you pull the arm towards the light you will see the washer come up from the outside. Once you can manually move the correct part to extend the washer you need to use needle nose vice grips and extend it all the way out and clamp it so it does not slide back into the housing. You can do these easily from the back.

You will see what I am talking about when you are at the light with the hood up.

To remove the washer top (1/2 moon part ) you will see two little tabs and just push them in while pulling on the part and it will pop right off.

To install the new one just push it on and it will clip into place and release the vise crips while holding the washer part and let it recoil back into place.
