While out and about today I notice that there was a heck of lot more cops in the 670 work zones. Then I read that Monday is the beginning of "National Work-Zone Safety Awareness Week" and Central Ohio drivers are being warned: "Don't Barrel Through the Work Zone." They are teamed up in what looks like 3 at a location. One on radar, 2 writing the tickets. I was through the 670 and I-71 work areas 4 times today, each time there were at least 3-4 vehicles pulled over. So save your wallet and just slow down a bit. Yeah, 45 on open highway sucks but a double the fine ticket sucks more. The best part, the only "workers" in any of these work zones were the local LEO. You have been warned...
Thats crazy they are still writing tickets with no workers present. I have seen work zones with the signs for speeding that have a little note under them saying when workers present.
Yeah it was like that during the 315 (not sure what to call it since it isn't really 'fixed') thing. Sad part is they never really stopped hanging out there the whole time...
Well, I do recall seeing a PSA story on the news this weekend where they profiled a worker that had been hit by a car in the work zone. Took him 3 years to recover. We may feel put out, but they are trying to work in those zones. Well at least when the Gov't has funds to pay them.
