This is my first time to the Motoring Alliance site and I'm looking forward to learning a lot from the posted discussions. I've had far more fun with this Mini than any other car I've owned but as good as it is, there always seems to be a little room for improvement. The only non-factory upgrade to my 08 Mini S is a JCW CAI, but I'm looking to move to lightweight rims and better tires when these run-flats wear out (I probably need another track day to help that along) and am considering coil-overs at the same time. Any input on the plan would be appreciated. Jeff

welcome. Some advice I got regarding coilovers:

"slam it until the tires rub then raise it just enough to not break anything entering/leaving your driveway."

Haven't done it yet myself yet.

Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome. AllBlack05S, hillarious and great feedback. I definately prefer any performance gains over a little thing like ride comfort even though it is a daily driver. If it does turn out to be too harsh a ride (doubt it) I hope to be putting in coil-overs with adjustable sprikng rates.
