Bought this car for my daughter and I want to keep it. It has 190000 miles on it and runs like a dream. I have some work to do on It like oil pan drain plug thank you idiot.. This site had the best info on maintenance of the one I looked at. So hello to all you crazy kids.

About the mini. It's 2002 electric blue S. Right now it has the bumper off. Was in process of changing the oil and the threads came out with the bolt. Oil pan was leaking so decided to do a gasket and oil pan. Read some about the super chargers so decided to do the oil check on that. I'm getting my lessons on mini out of the way first. Probably a good thing. Oh and Deb I am a dad not a mom. The name 1momini I was thinking 1 Mo Mini like Mo Money And Mo Lasses. The girl took to the stick shift pretty good till it went into maintenance mode. I am planning on this car getting 500k mile at least. And I am lookinf for another already
I noticed in the owners manual it had the original owners name and phone number do you think it would be creepy to call them. Maybe find out if they have the other keys. Or get some history where can I get extra keys the only one I have is not the keyless
In 02 the keys were different than in later 1st generation models. Early keys I believe looked like these Later the design changed to
I'm guessing the key you are referring to is the last one in the first picture. That is the only one I have for my recently acquired MINI. You can purchase the keyless ones from the dealer for serious $$$$$. I have also seen blank ones on eBay, but I have heard your mileage may very depending on your local dealer cutting/programming it...
I have the one one the far right. That's it I have read some post s about the keys but not sure how to tell if my car will use the button lock on the key or if it is worth pursuing. If I knew for sure I would try to order one thanks for the pics Nathan you're realy on top of things
