Often times in a site that is growing as large as Motoring Alliance some people want to hide forum areas they have no interest in viewing. Individuals can select Forum areas they do not want to see. 1. Navigate to UserCP, found a the top of the Main Menu on the left side of most all pages. 2. Scroll to the Settings and Options area, select Edit Options. 3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, Miscellaneous Options. 4. Select the forum(s) that are to be hidden in the Forums To Exclude From View area. 5. To select multiple forums, press and hold the CTRL key while clicking on the forum titles. 6. To clear exclusions, select "Reset Exclusion" without holding the CTRL key. The selected forum(s) will no longer display in the main listing or in any of the individuals search results.
Is it possible to - "How Do I Hide a Forum Member I do not want to see?" Ha Ha....... Just Kidding!:arf:
Yes, that is possible. Under the same Settings & Options is Edit Ignore List where you can enter the username of the person who's posts you do not wish to view. However; if the post is quoted that will be visible.
It can make following threads kind of hard. Better to read their posts, and let your brain filter them out. Mark
Yeah, it is about as effective as sticking your fingers in your ears and saying "LA LA LA LA - I Can't Hear You"
Is there any way... to have these options listed with the thread, like under thread tools? So when yet another thread spins off the deep end, one can just click "Hide this craap" and have it added to the list? Matt
Maybe... THIS IS UNTESTED - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK 1. You must be running Mozilla Firefox. If you're not, it's free and available at Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable. 2. Install Greasemonkey. Greasemonkey is an add-on to Firefox that will allow you to install user-created scripts onto specified web pages. It is available at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748. 3. Install this script: vBulletin - Custom Ignore List for Greasemonkey 4. Click on "Tools", then "Greasemonkey", then "Manage User Scripts", then "Custom Ignore List for vBulletin", then edit the Blocked User variables (at the top, in quotes, first one defaults to "JolietJake") to whomever you like.
For some reason, the MidCal Minis group does not appear in this list. MidCal MINIs - Motoring Alliance :: MINI Cooper Forums Can this be corrected?
How can you not love Mid Cal MINIs? Anyway, this has been fixed, thanks for bringing it to my attention that anytime a forum area is added a I need to run a job to have it added to the listing.
