Are you talking about removing the innards of the cat? If so, bad idea IMHO. I'll not pontificate but emissions controls are a good thing.
Search for hood scoop removal the honeycomb is attached by two screws to the back of the hood scoop. The hood scoop is held on by several blind pins and one screw.
I recently replaced my hood scoop with the JCW CF version and decided to keep the insert (honeycomb) purely based on aesthetics. I was torn because I like the symmetrical look with the front grill but the design seemed to restrict air. I cut out the closed portions with my dremel. The entire project (if you can call it that) took about an hour (including cleaning up all the plastic afterwards :lol
We remove them all the time, if you want to have some kind of grille in there you can install the MINIFINI grille
Yeah, I know, it's dusty, but we had this put in at MITM by MINIFINI. Scoop has a slight droop, that will be the second one under warranty:rolleyes5:, but it has not got worse since we pulled the first "new improved" honeycomb and installed this stainless grill. Mark
dremel... cool idea. I may pull it and see what I think. With snow season nearing I am leery of having it open. Thank-you!!!!
