I am wondering if this is a bit to much. I like it! But just earlier someone I passed was laughing historically at me and I didnt know if it just sounded that bad. Or if he just though I was cute and that was his way of flirting [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmsycgL0JA8"]r53 - YouTube[/ame]
sounded good with the windows up. sounded like wind noise with them down. weird. i've heard many more "ricey" exhausts. it doesn't sound like a weed-eater that needs a carb rebuild. if you like the sound and can deal with a little flirting, i'd say it is a keeper.
They probably never heard a bad ass MINI! OR...they like those big oil can exhausts that sound like wet farts!

And a start up. Please realize I wasn't intending on this video having so much wind noise and I do apologize. It picks up in areas you will hate it.
I'm super picky on exhaust sound tuning. I've spent hours swapping mufflers until I get the correct sound. I like the flat out sound you have but the slow stuff driving at low speeds sounds like there's a hole in the system with all that popping and farting. Do you have a rear muffler? if so you might need to add a small one in the center. How's the Suzuki sound?
If you want to hear how bad some cars sound listen to the rally cars in Costa Rica. Mine is the quiet one right at the end of the video. Your car sounds way better! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XYUCBEYMgI]Rally Poás 27-08-2011 - YouTube[/ame]
Do you really think I could have a hole in my exhaust? I have never been to this weld shop so it is possible he is garbage welder. I definitely fixed the exhaust rattle when I pulled out the resonator. I dont have a cat on my mini either It is all hollow except the pre cat thing. Do you think that I should do a muffler or replace the stock resonator with another oe resonator?
Lol no! I had my windows up(tinted pretty dark) and I am driving a baby blue mini cooper he probably thought I was a chick haha and for you rally : This is before the engine was built it doesnt have any rasp or anything to it. Sounds really goood. Straight pipe and ready to shoot flameslow 2-3k revs) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EabpCua22C4"]Suzuki Aerio 2.0 turbo straight pipe exhaust - YouTube[/ame] Creeping into boost in some traffic trying to get those air compression sounds and that bov sound [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrdB1jxKuTU"]Suzuki Aerio turbo on the streets - YouTube[/ame]
all that popping suggests air getting in the system. If you listen to the Yaris,Sentra in the video they have no rear muffler. They put a small muffler in the center of the system which makes them sound like a motor bike. Most good sounding rally systems run a straight through muffler at the rear. Once I get my Mini running I'm going to use a rear twin box set up way up in the chassis to avoid damage.
this sounds about right [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bxh3f8cXZNI]Jack Neal Memorial Rally - 09 - Minisport.com BMW Mini Cooper S - YouTube[/ame]
I am most likely going after the nvidia cat back exhaust which will replace his tacky welds haha and that mini sounds really good
