We should use whole words most of the time. We don't need to use text messaging linguistics. LOL, LMAO, fine. OEM MINI stuff, and the OEM colours(colors) abbreviations, fine. There is a detailed, Detailing abbreviation sticky, easy to follow. Common abbreviations, fine. USE THE BLOODY SPELL CHECKER. That red squiggly line under misspelled words is not underlining words from your own special language. My point is that it is important for posts to be readable. I'm no English mayor, but I try to make my posts look like I'm posting in my native tongue. English as a second language members, bravo. Mark
Mark; Well I have to tell you, you did make my day today. I almost wet myself.:lol::lol: But, yes, I agree with you.
Nope, I checked, there is no town called English, closest was Englishtown, and that's taken. So you could be mayor. I expect to see a photo of a square patch of grass in your wonderful yard. On one side a sign that say's "you are entering the town of English" and on the other side one that say's "you are leaving the town of English". And smack dab in the center....... "Mark" mayor of English. :cornut:
Just a pet peeve of mine. Comes from the fact I learned how to type on the old MCO site, now lovingly called the "Sewing site". I always try my bestests too tipe reel goode. Center pedal on a MINI is called the BRAKE pedal. If nothing happens when I apply pressure to it, something is likely to BREAK. Mark
There is a sign, leading into a town in Saskatchewan, that says; New York is big, but this is Bigger. Look it up, Bigger does exist:lol: Mark
I feel ya, Mark ... as a copyeditor, it drives me crazy when I see 'their' is typed as 'there', 'lead' should be 'led', etc., etc. :incazzato:
