First MINI was a BRG '05 MCSCa. Custom ordered it. I sold it in '10 and almost instantly regretted it. So now I'm back with an '08 R52 (#62 of the last 100). Good to be 'home' again
Got a problem here Tex. As a poster from long ago once said: "Without pictures, it didn't happen." Gotta have pictures...with lots of silly grins and the top down, so much the better.
I know I should have some pictures. I've been telling myself I'd take some when I had her all detailed up but Life has gotten in the way of that process. I just stocked up at autogeek so now all I need is the time and energy to get her looking her best.
Welcome to the coolest MINI forum on the net.......... Please dont make us beg for pictures.....We LOVE pictures of MINI's....
Welcome to MA. It's great to have another R52 pilot join the ranks! Hope to see your MA garage set up with some photos soon.
Not the greatest pictures and a tad bit dusty (West Texas after all) but pictures you have - uploaded to my garage.
Dang fine looking ride! Enjoy the heck out of it. Got another problem there, Tex. The top is up. Only 4 reasons for the top to be up; raining, showing, bunch of drunks throwing empty beer cans in the back seat or your co-pilot's whining louder than the SC. Remember - topless motoring is motoring at it's best. For your dusty conditions I'd strongly recommend a 'California duster'.
Didn't have it down because it has half of New Mexico on the top from a dust storm. Did some vacuuming on the hood to get the first layer of dirt off.
Well, shucks...I'll have to add a regional 5th reason now....or be more careful where to park and eliminate the drunks keeping it at 4.
Within the next couple of days I hope to have the roof cleaned and sealed and the paint with a new coat of Dodo Juice supernatural hybrid on it.
