So their saying that she'll hit Jersey at Exit O on the Garden State Parkway and follow the parkway all the way up! Drove past the MINI dealer in Oakhusrt and they were moving all the MINI's into the warehouse next door in preparation of the storm! Looked like they were sold out. Good luck to everyone in it's path and be safe!
It's going to be quite interesting here in Hampton Roads, too! Mandatory evacuation of the Sandbridge area of Virginia Beach. Schultze & the hubby's 2011 GTI will be parked up close to the house; if I had a covered porch, I'd pay the neighborhood teens to get Schultze up onto the porch! LOL Everyone stay safe!
That goes for me too. Everyone batten down the hatches. I wish I were a tad further inland. First an earthquake and now a hurricane. Starting to get like CA over here. Jim
Take from someone who survived Hurricane Charley- Leave when they tell you. Bring all your insurance paperwork with you. And get as much cash as you can- the ATM's do not work when there is no power. Good luck and stay safe.
The 5 day Pittsburgh forecast shows 0% rain, 80 degrees, and sunny. Let's hope it stays that way. You guys closer to the coast stay safe!
Yep, those of us just west of the cone of uncertainty are going to enjoy a few days of awesome weather. To those of you just east of us, please be safe, brains before balls.
Yes everyone be safe and it's true...if they tell you to leave, leave...it's not worth it to stay behind.
For whatever reason, every time I hear that term "cone of uncertainty" this picture pops to mind: Anyway, y'all be safe out there on the right coast.
What an interesting vacation..... Poor Artemis was shaken pulling into Rehoboth Beach by the earthquake. Then we arrive back at our hotel last night to find an evacuation notice. We decided to leave last night instead of today when planned- figured we'd beat the panicking idiots clogging the roadways. Good plan- been hearing all day how roads are a nightmare. Good luck everyone- I hope we all make it thru with minimal or NO damage. Oh, and I washed Artemis today in preparation of the hurricane... he won't be leaving the garage for the next couple days
remember that the human body can survive 200mph winds...however if that wind is throwing around a Volvo...
