That Rt 25W looks like a fun drive for a MINI but not while it's handling all sorts of interstate traffic. Can you imagine being stuck behind a line of semi's struggling around those curves...

This is a good excuse to find ones own detour. I agree that road will not be fun with lots of traffic.

Lots of ways to get to the Dragon. This will open up my options.

Take US-25E through the Cumberland Gap.

Been there, done that. Nice alternative.

Rock slides in this area, early in the year, are a sign that Spring is right around the corner...

Kind of like the Swallows returning to Capistrano.... Same thing except with rocks and boulders....

Or MINIacs returning to the Dragon... Except with grins and pockets full of money to be left in vendor alley....

Or Barry setting up a stand on vendor alley selling one year old calendars....

All the same kinda thing.... Rites of Spring kinda thing....:D

We got stopped for an occurring rock slide in Colorado Monument. Sat there watching pebbles and rocks trickle down and on to the road for maybe 20 minutes. Suddenly a small house sized boulder came rumbling down, hit the blacktop and over into the river. Think I had the camera ready? Without pictures, it DID happen, no help from a Kodak.

Yes but lacking head fur you'll get a "sun burn" even holding out at a distance.
