I had to go into work today to take some pictures of a bunch of HVAC units I'm replacing for the capital funding request and resubmit my request with the pix. Since it was a pretty day and there wouldn't be anyone in the parking lots, the soul crushing Civic stayed at home...I rode in style! Since the MINI kinda looks like a toy anyway, I thought some pix from the rooftops might look good. What do y'all think? I attached a pic of a unit for you to admire too! Rawhyde
I wouldn't be showing it off, they've been stealing them around here...we had both units (not that large) stolen a month ago.... Police and my insurance people said it is a big problem. The crooks want the copper out of them....
It's a 7.5 ton unit. It'll take a mighty big crane to set that one because it's about 120' from the edge I set a 60 ton on another building two years ago. The crooks have been gutting smaller rooftop units around Chattanooga for a few years. Most of my buildings have pretty good security, and the roof access is from inside the building. The buildings that have an exterior ladder have guard shacks.
Thamks for the retouching! That is exactly the effect I was trying to get when I released the shutter. I don't have a tilt shift lens. (The astounding price and limited utility pretty much guarantee that I'll never have one...)
There are tutorials on the web for creating tilt shift with Photoshop, but I Googled and found websites that apply the effect to any photo, like the link I gave earlier (for http://tiltshiftmaker.com/).
