It's time for me to get a new car and I am thinking about getting a F? series MINI and am already gravitating to the all wheel drive model. I have a 2005 R52 S that is my week-end plaything. I know they have changed drastically from both a mechanical style view-point. I know it will be an auto. and and S. What other features that are worth/not worth? Problems and how your dealer handled it to your satisfaction or not.
I know that most people that frequent the MINI sites are aware the NAM and https://www.motoringalliance.com/ now have a wealth of knowledge available to any one...so, I am cross-posting this to M/A

Check out one with the HUD. It's a neat feature. I opted not to get it because I wear polarized sunglasses and that makes the HUD useless to me during the day.

The base stereo is not great. The Harmon Kardon is an improvement but still not as good as other vehicles. If you like your tunes get the Harmon Kardon unit.

I am generally against moon roofs. They remove body rigidity and add weight. Also then tend to rattle and squeak as the car ages.

I can HIGHLY recommend the LED headlights. They are fantastic.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I think I would prefer the Clubman over the CM. But I think it would come down to how they drive. I would get the HK unit for sure. Because I have hearing loss good sound quality really helps. I am very picky about my music. I like having sat radio on the Helmet but the sound quality is not very good compared to my iPod.

I think that would be the one to get. It should get better mileage, without all the weight and drag of the extra machinery driving the other two wheels, not to mention all the the other parts to break.

For some reason I thought you could get a hardtop 4 door in all4. Doesn’t appear you can. However you can get the active dampening.

You can get the DDC in all models, but All4 is only on Clubman and Countryman.

If you want a tight sporty feel and handing get the sport suspension. Otherwise get the regular. The DDC is an expensive compromise without any real benefit.

    Can’t you get a cooper 4 door.. all 4?
Yea - my mind was off. Thought I had seen one. That said, AWD cooper.. with 2.0 built would be a hoot especially if you could setup the bias of the AWD. :Cautious:
