You guys should head to the Lane Motor Museum. They have one of those & the sports model. The Trident! Along with all kinds of other wonderful oddities.
Hey Chuck you wanna race my Reliant Robin? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQh56geU0X8]Rolling a Reliant Robin - Top Gear - BBC - YouTube[/ame]
Actually, the Lane Museum is in Nashville, Tenn - not Knoxville. I did The Rally for the Lane last Sept - I got to drive a '58 Tatra 603 on the over 100 mile rally thru the Tenn backroads, down to the Jack Daniels distillery and back. Really a fun event, I recommend it highly! Each year on 2 different weekends they take 20 cars out of the museum and let people drive them on a rally! Can you imagine? You do have to donate for the priveledge, but in my case I got to drive a car I never would have (and probably never will again) on a long beautiful trip thru the countryside. They have a video of Jeff Lane driving the Peel Trident up and down the main road in front of the museum on their website - it went better than the Peel 50 does! Thanks for the real location Dave. There is a reason I was not a rally navigator & I let Babs read the maps while in motion.
Well, I had an advantage.....i've been there! BTW, Jeff Lane is straight up one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, and a real carnut! I highly recommend to anyone to go visit the Lane Motor Museum, it's a fun and wonderful place!
