i saw pictures of your car there. im part of the vw community but was unable to go this year. i am bringing my gti and mini next year to be in my friends booth.
That would be cool. I only saw three MINIs there so it would be cool if more come out next year. I should have my MK2 1.8T GTI there next year too. We had a great time, but the 110 degree heat was pretty brutal and put a damper on my drinking. I did a brake pad change the night before we left and for some reason the brakes got dangerously spongy after we left. I'd like to thank Desert MINI for the serious reaming we got by taking almost 3 hours and charging $190 to bleed our brakes and not clear a hard code because that was going to cost extra. Kelli's car was showcased and competed to be one of the top 10 cars. She got bumped at the last minute by a clean 21 window bus. Kelli did win first in the "All Other Euros" category beating out all the Mercedes, Porches, Fiats, etc. We also met some magazine people :wink5: who were really digging Kelli's car:
