It’s National Name Your Car Day and if anyone is most likely to name their car, it’s MINI owners. *In fact, it was one of the first questions asked when signing up for the old MINI USA Owner’s Lounge. Tell us what you named your MINI(s) or Mini(s) and why in the comments! James Day […]

We MINI owners have been doing this for quite some time.

Mine is GNAT - Much like the bug it gets it name from, it's small, fast and annoying.

Coincidentally, it's also "National Ignore Name Your Car Day".

I have not thought of a name for my Mini yet. But I have only had it for 11 years.

The only things I've ever named were boats.

As cheesy as it is, we've grown fond of naming our cars.

Nigel - 2008 Mini Cooper S Conv Sidewalk
Bertha - 2006 Range Rover Supercharged
Pearl - 1999 Land Rover Discovery
Ambrosia - 1994 Range Rover LWB
Aurora - 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 NAS
    Rusty - 1985 Land Rover Defender 110

Noticed the trend? They're all brits and they're all PITA! :)

LOL. Just think how nice it will feel if you ever break the pattern!

I don't generally name things, but since my name begings with a "Z," I sometimes replace the first letter of my car/boat/watercraft. I often redesign the logos, too.

I have owned two Ziatas, a ZeaDoo PWC and ZeaDoo boat, and three Zaudis.

I'm just not sure what I think of "ZINI."

    Oh, I have.

I have other cars with no names - a 2014 VW CC, a 2010 Prius and a beater 1993 Toyota Camry. I sold the two Toyotas and the 2 LR Defenders, but still own the rest.

Based on your formula, shouldn't that be a Zudi? :D
