National Motorist's Association The National Motorist's Association is the nation's oldest motorist's rights organization. They are the ones responsible for the repeal of the 55 mph national speed limit. I have been a member for more than twenty years, thanks to an article in Car & Driver magazine. National Motorists Association Website If you don't want to see things like GPS tickets, join them and support them. Dave
Yeah, well, it's Motoring Alliance's fault for all of this. The popularity of the "Russian Dashcam" thread was the impetus for this new technology infringing on our carefree driving style here in the States. I think it's only fair that any fines/deductibles resulting from said technology should be paid by the originator of that thread, whomever that may be...
My 5 year old Garmin has the speed changing thingy...... However, what if you don't buy a factory Nav system? Your key still records your top speed, top RPM and so on - always has since 2002, so nothing new there. Maybe, don't buy a new car with NAV? or, support the pre 1990 cars instead?
Nathan sitting up with dinner today.... With the classic "Get Me Outta Here" look.... And who took my chin follicles... Damn it..
There is a new law going through that makes the data yours except in the case of an accident. Since it has bipartisan support it might make it. This will be an interesting challenge to see when a dealer refuses a warranty because the car was on a track (Nissan GTR).
I saw on Fifth Gear where the new Rolls coupe predicts what gear to use based on the corners your coming up to. All from the gps
Several manufacturers have that "feature." It's supposed to be a gas saver, not a performance enhancement. It's available on most BMWs for 2015. :frown2:
I'm keeping my 2006 MCS FOREVER. And I'll use my 2nd amendment rights to protect it against anyone who says they've come to install a tracker / nanny on it.
Too late. The Obamatracker is part of Obamacare, put there specifically to make sure you can be ticketed to the full extent of the law, to help pay for national healthcare. It's retroactive back to 1895, and includes all energy powered cars, including solar, wood, coal and steam.
