Congrats. And don't worry about it. There was a similar lack of forum participation for the 1st gen JCW for a while.
I ordered a chilli red with black top. JCW aero kit, white turns, xenon, fogs, cold pkg,HK audio, chrome interior, carbon lounge leather, and black sport stripes. While I have been waiting for the last 8 weeks I bought Craven STD's, Stubby Ant, JCW CF Scoop,CF shift knob\boot, CF Dash kit, CF Mirror caps I am thinking about ordering the nm engineering rear sway bar tonight and after I see how much clearance I have pulling into my driveway the nm springs if I can clear the driveway.
I would have picked-up a JCW but it was a bit out of my price range. I'm excited to see yours. You have plans on autocrossing or open tracking it?
I was ready to buy an S but decided to try and save the extra dollars needed for the JCW. So thats what I did, I think it took me an additional 8 months to save the money. I have never had a sporty type car. Have had muscle cars when I was young but have only had pickup trucks for the last 18 years so I have had no exposure to autocross or the track. Sounds fun though.
Funny, I am coming from a 2005 Mustang GT to the Mini. This is one of the most fun cars I've ever had. I've only open tracked myself once. I've ridden any times. I do autox regularly though. The next one is this Sunday and I am excite to try out the Mini.
I looked up autocross on wikipedia and wouldn't you know there is a picture of a MINI. Haha. On that note, I ordered the nm engineering rear sway bar from Waymotorworks. Buying all this stuff helps the time pass while I'm waiting for the MINI.
Posted elsewhere but since this is the JCW forum and it needs a spark Here's my new JCW MINI and the first Mod is done. Craven stubby antenna
Looks good. Love that you moded it already. I had a 520 mile 2010 JCW in this week for a bunch of stuff including intercooler, bushings, complete suspension, sprint booster a few others. And it was fast when it left.
WoW, thats quite ambitous for a brand new car. Tomorrow I have a stack of parts to install, can't wait to get started. I did just order a nm rear sway bar from you but I thought I would wait to put it on. My thought is that I would like to get the feel of what the stock suspension is like so that I will know what the difference is with the sway bar.
Day 2 and I had a good time installing alll the little pieces I accumulated over the last 2 months. Installed the Craven STD's,CF mirror caps,CF scoop,CF dash inserts, CF JCW shifter knob. I received the rear sway bar today. Maybe in a couple weeks I will install it.ordered a car cover last night
