Hey everyone, just want to spread the word that I will be streaming live video from my car every available second of the drive. It will usually be on mute unless you start commenting. Then we will turn off mute and talk to anyone commenting. Make sure to click follow at the top and tune in for the Dragon and especially Indy. Leave it on at work if you cant go! Here is the link: MINI Takes the States 2010 South - MG and Alisa on USTREAM: Follow Michael and Alisa as we go city to city in MINI Takes the States 2010! We will be takin...
Excellent! How do you do this out on the highways? Does it use cell phone frequencies to upload? What happens when you're in between big cities, will we lose the feed? How many people can be watching at a time, is it limited? When do you hit the road? Csn you show us your camera setup?
They have hit the road already, I was on for a few minutes earlier today and they were still in TX headed east.
Can be done with iPhone and Droid. I assume you will need to be in 3g area for best results. Should not be a limit on people watching.
HEY! Sorry, We made it to New Orleans. I am broadcasting via my Droid Incredible. Its all 3G and everything. No limit on viewers. We broadcast whenever we are not doing anything. I will turn it off at stops, picture opps, etc. So just click the follow button at the top to keep tabs. We dont know what is better, to show us just sitting there or showing the road. Once people start talking to us and commenting, we have some fun talking to ya'll but otherwise, we dont know how to spice it up. Today was a good test run day. It will prove much more useful when driving the dragon and Indy. Any tips of stuff to do will make us happy and keep us from being bored!
I doubt you will be able to stream from the dragon, no cell service or I had none except around Robbinsville..
I would like to see the following: 1. A competitive game of "who farted" with windows rolled up 2. A twelve pack of coke consumed with no pee stops 3. A bucket of KFC consumed without use of napkins 4. A proper mooning of a big rig 5. 140 mph on the speedo more to come...
LOL! Nice. Alisa wasn't too thrilled to be on camera today. Hopefully she will lighten up as the trip goes on.
