Hi folks, For anyone who has service/warranty work done at MAG in Columbus. Is it their policy to provide a loaner vehicle? If so, has it been your experience that they provide this for normal maintenance services as well as warranty break/fix appointments, or just one or the other? Finally, has it ever been your experience when they could not provide you with a loaner and you had to figure out another method of transport while your Mini was in service? thanks! Jeff
I think the key is that you need to tell them upfront that you will need a loaner. That way they can schedule your appointment for a day that there are loaners available.
They almost always offered me a loaner. When they did not have one they drove me home and picked me back up again. For reference I'm in the Italian Village area.
Even if you have no warranty & drive an experienced MINI MAG is nice enough to provide a loaner. BAD is right, just let them know in advance & you'll have a loaner.
And if they don't have a MINI loaner available... Just ask to be put into one of their Ferrari or Lotus or Porsche loaner cars.... They try to be very accommodating...
I have always gotten a loaner from MAG whenever I have had to leave one of my MINIs there . The nice thing is, that when the car is all repaired, they send it home to me with one of their drivers and return with the loaner...thus saving me additional gas and drive time. One year they were out of loaners and arranged with Enterprise for a ride to take me home. I paid nothing, other than the gas, and the next day, I was rewarded with my car and the loaner was returned [by MAG] to enterprise.
I've had great experience with MAG for almost 20 years. All service departments mess up at times but MAG has always recovered for me when they did. Sam Meyers and Amber are outstanding IMO.
MAG is a well run shop. Yes Sam Meyers is outstanding. His help has been invaluable to me & he is friend to the whole MINI community.
I have bought 2 of our 3 MINIs at MAG and all 3 are serviced by MAG. They have always been helpful and try very hard to please, IMHO. Even though it's a bit of a drive over and back for me, MAG is the MINI place I patronize because I have never been stung by them.
I've never bought a car from MAG, I only have brought them real headaches when it comes to service and yet they have always been mostly very good to me. I cannot complain.
