Lodging - Need or have?

My wife and i need a room for 2 at Fontana Village. We are currently on the waiting list there.

We attended in 2011 but i waited to long to call for reservations this year...

 

I need lodging in Fontana too. I'm looking for the entire week. 1 bedroom. I would like to bring my two little dogs (they came with me last time). I know it's $300 to bring them, just need a place.

 

Looking to share a room....

WAS ABLE TO CONFIRM A CAMPING SITE AT FONTANA CAMPGROUND, SO NO LONGER NEED TO SHARE A ROOM...LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYBODY THERE!

My calendar just freed up so that I can attend MOTD this year....too late to get a room at Fontana, so I'm posting here in case someone with a room at Fontana or nearby would like to share to split costs. I'm male, a non-smoker and I don't snore...if you're lucky enough to have a room reservation and looking for someone to share the cost of your room let me know!

I'm also a camper and backpacker and would consider sharing someone's camping spot if their reservation has room....

I'm looking for something in Fontana too room or cabin from Sunday 4/27 through Sunday 5/4. We are on the list but they will not tell me what number. I just called today and they said there have been no cancellations and they will not run the list until there are some. If you have accommodations already and can't go please let me know and I will take them over and pay you for your deposit.

I'm going to PM a few of the folks in this thread, but here is the info on my cabin to share. I have shared with friends, and with total strangers in the past, and never had a bad roommate experience. I'm fairly quiet. Please note: my recently adopted 2yo Rhodesian Ridgeback mix may be joining me this year. She's a total sweetheart, but clearly, anyone with allergies or aversion to dogs may want to think twice.

I have a 2BR/1BA Hemlock cabin to share on the lower side of Welch Road in Fontana Village, just down the hill from the fire pit, aka Stonehenge. (Cabin #547 on this map) JBKone usually splits the cabin with me, but since's he's a brand new MA, the likelihood of him getting enough time off to attend the event is somewhere between slim & none.

1 room has a queen bed, the other has twin beds. No room preference for me, so either option is open for whoever shares the cabin.

Currently, the reservation is for check-in on Monday, 4/28 (in time for the big SSM pre-party @ Alan & Bev's! If you room with me, you're invited!). Check-out is Sunday, 5/4. $159 per night, total of $1075.62 (after taxes) to be split.

Sorry, not interested in having a roommate for 3 days, etc. Looking to split the room for the whole week. I can usually expand that reservation to arrive early if needed, costs being adjusted and split evenly.

I went down the MOTD Lodging List as posted:

Fontana waiting list is currently 60 or more.

Mictrotel Inn only had 1 night open left.

Tuskeegee Motel looks like rooms are available starting around $52 per night for single beds and $57 for double beds...didn't get the rates for efficiency.

I reserved three nights as of 9 Feb 14. Seems like he had more available.
