While we are out and about celebrating the day that most people consider the beginning of summer, take time to remember the reason for the holiday. It is to celebrate the sacrifice of all those who have given their life in service of our great country. Remember that every single day we are losing 1800 WW II Vets, truly our greatest generation. Sometime today, take the time to raise a glass, "To Absent Comrades".

Couldn’t agree more.. my family has a lot of military history (some still in). They give a lot, spend lots of time away from family and dealt with some very tough situations.

Today is about remembering and honoring all who have served.

Enjoy the pool, the BBQ (hopefully) and like @vetsvette said, raise a glass.

To all who have served - thank you!

If you ever have a chance - go see the Marines Silent Drill Platoon. If you ever did drill, you would know how hard this is. Its pretty spectacular in real life. All Marines who go through Officer School, go see this during OCS.
