Nothing in this article supports or defends using the word "perfect." :frown2:

It is almost the perfect car....

Reason being it's free to use for a year. Only pay for gas. Oh, and get paid to write about it too.

When I saw the article last night, someone had posted a comment, "So let me get this straight. They give you a free car and you're so cheap you're thinking of banging the rim back into shape?" That comment has been deleted.

I also saw it last night and thought it was a spot on assessment.

I borrowed one for a weekend 2 weeks ago.

It reminded me a lot of my Mk6 GTI in stock form, which isn't a bad thing.

The Clubman really does drive nice. I know everyone hates it, but it's really a fantastic family car option.

Fair enough, but a Chubman to GTI comparison is uncalled for.

    Stock for stock? Very similar.

The Chubman is within a half inch in all dimensional measurements on the GTI, too.

I was totally just kidding around. However I will say that I wouldn't be caught dead in the new Clubman. I saw one on the road and felt sorry for the person driving it. It looks like the most watered down design effort that I have ever seen from MINI. I wouldn't even insult BMW by calling it a little Bimmer wagon.

Kind of like a 1982 Olds stationwagon, only bigger.
