Looks like we're seeing the new MINI design language, just like when Audi introduced their shield grill and it propagated thruout their entire lineup. Now we're seeing that "FJ" style roof that that showed up on the Coupe concept and is now a part of the Countryman, also the front end of the Countryman is on this supposed prototype. As to the concept itself, I think some of the drawings from a few years back were way better looking, but I'm still all over these mega milage small cars. I really don't like Audi's shield grill either, and can't wait till they replace it. VW copied it for a while, but when the new HMFIC came in he told them to change it and the new design is much better, IMHO. My point? They can do better than to just make it different for different's sake. Likewise, good design always sells; wierd, funny and just different will sell for a while if the underlying prduct is good - sometimes in spite of the design - but it's not lasting.
Like the second pic too, not sure about the toupe top but then again not sure it would look good with the line straight back like the hatch.... A mini MINI, now this is truley in line with the marque!!!!
