Just wanted anybody interested to know we like our rack. Installation and removal from our 2012 Countyman AWD is literally a 5 minute job. Our two bikes are firm within the rack and the tilt feature works to allow opening and closing of rear hatch. My only criticism is false security of the locks on the bikes. Anybody intent on theft would merely have to cut the the straps. But this is minor. While pricey (over $600), we like our rack. Setting bikes on top of the taller Countryman would not be an easy task.
I agree; just got the Mini rear rack and it works great! You do need to work with your particular pair of bikes to get the adjustments right, however. I will use a bike security cable between bikes and rack if parking the car in non-secure areas for more than a short time.
