    The MINI Challenge Germany will not resume 2012th Following a strategic realignment MINI has decided to let the German version of the Clubsport series with the year 2011.

    "After eight years in Germany, MINI Challenge us this decision was not easy. With the founding of the series we have brought in 2004 an innovative blend of lifestyle and motor sports at the start. The German MINI Challenge had over the years a very successful platform to demonstrate the great athleticism to our cars, "says Christian Ah, Germany Head of MINI.

    The intended result of the expiry of the series at MINI freed resources to contribute to future open up even more intensely unconventional communication channels. This will ensure the uniqueness of the long term MINI.

    Even after the end of the German version of the MINI Challenge is the vehicle manufacturer's sporting heritage continues closely. The motor racing genes of the brand continue to find their way into the production vehicles on the road.

    In the past eight years, over 200 riders took part in the race of the MINI Challenge, including many prominent guest starter. "My thanks go to at this point all the teams and drivers for their passionate commitment, the partners of the series for its large and loyal support, as well as the numerous fans that we were able to inspire the MINI Challenge," said Christian Oh.

    I wonder if all the money going into the WRC program has caused cuts in other areas to be made. On a positive note cup parts should be easier to come by.

    not surprised at all...........Mini is one of the cheapest when it comes to supporting racers of any brand out there.........it's a sad fact

    best thing could happen would be to get away from BMW so the brand can flourish and get back to its heritage......just my .02

    Not sure MINI would float without BMW's money.
