The vehicle narrowly missed an Audi up on a lift for repairs. A Mini Cooper traveling northbound on Post Road careened out of control Thursday evening, crossing the double yellow line and crashing into the service bay of the Darien Valero station (1927 Post Road). The vehicle narrowly missed several cars and came to rest under an Audi that was on a lift for repairs. The Mini's airbag did not deploy. The male driver, who was uninjured, said the gas pedal "got stuck." The accident is under investigation by the Darien Police Department. The Noroton Fire Department also responded to the incident, which occurred around 6:28 p.m.
See...... Not good to text and drive...... Yeah, sure..... Stuck pedal... uh huh.... It's not a Toyota or Audi, it's a MINI.....
Must be the same ones they installed on the TOD.... Apparently they didn't function all that well this year. I recommend a recall..... :cornut:
I might be wrong ***BUT***** He was probably texting and just did not notice the service station in front of him. Of course he will blame it on his car. Alice Cooper is right about stopping the car with the hand brake but it is not possible with a cell phone in your right hand and your left hand fingers on the phone buttons.:mad5: This is just a guess on my part, as I said "I may be wrong" He could have been eating or drinking.
