The MINI Coupe has debuted, been driven and totally dissected. Now it’s for the accessories. Specifically of the JCW variety. MINI will be releasing a set of new JCW accessories later this fall for the Coupe starting with what you see above. And the eye-catching has to be the JCW spoiler. Let’s go through the list and take a closer look.

    • JCW Coupe Spoiler. Reportedly this blocks the standard spoiler that raises at 50 mpg but gives the car even less rear lift.
    • JCW Engine Tuning Kit. This is the same kit that pumps out 200 bhp and 199 lb-ft on overboost. One of the best JCW accessories money can buy.
    • Black trimmed JCW Rear Lights. Hot aren’t they? We’re not entirely sure if these are interchangeable with the R56 but we know they’ll work on the R57 and the forthcoming MINI Roadster.
    • Carbon Rear Trim This is the same as on the R57.
    • Cross Spoke R113 Red Stripe Wheels. These are new for 2011 and are based on the best looking JCW wheel currently produce.
    • Cooper S Side Decals. Self explanatory and not necessarily something we’d put on a car full of JCW accessories.

    Weird....
So with the JCW options you can choose a Pep Boys rear wing that has reduced performance.... What were they thinking???:confused5:

Justa noticed the Justa filler door on the JCW..... Weird again....

So it's the Justa Cooper Works addition......

I do like the tail lights though...

It's the same on all coupés, isn't it? Presumably the coupé has the same reinforcing piece from the R57 that prevents the S fuel cap being used.

Could be a last minute production change from the pre-production units????

Rear spoiler looks kinda cool but blocks the standard spoiler that you are already paying for!!

It did say the optional spoiler creates "less lift" so I would think that is a good thing. More down force on the rear... I wouldn't buy it though...

Price wise their ought to be a discount if you order the optional spoiler. It has to be cheaper then the retractable one..

I still want to know what happened to the paint matched wheels the 2 prototypes had on them...

Also an article on the coupe in the new MC2 magazine I got yesterday.. and while I didn't read it completly yet.. but I thought it mentioned 250 HP in there some where..
I'll read that article thoughly tonight..

More downfarce on the rear = less on the front. Not sure on a street car it is more than automotive jewelry. If ya like the looks go for it. Me, I think I'd skip the park bench on the boot.

JCW spoiler doesn't sound like a bad idea. More downforce, less weight (they remove the whole cassette, right?).

It would make sense to remove the pop up wing. If they don't it seems kind of silly to me.
