The MINI Coupé Press Launch took place in the beautiful smokey mountains around Nashville, TN. Before we got there, MINI USA put several press cars in front of the camera for their glamour shots. They shared those images with us, and now we’re sharing them with you. More...
OK, nerd's question: what's with the extra deep glovebox? It looks like it's had some crash padding added to it - doesn't that get in the way of the passenger's knees? I don't see the same thing on interior photos on the Mini USA web site.
OK, I went to the configurer in an attempt to like the Coupe. The only way you can get the roof the same as body color is to pick "black". When it is all black, the odd roof line is not so noticeable. I think they really like that roof line and won't let you tone it down. :frown2: Jim
I am kinda with you Jim, there is just something I dont like about it, the backwards baseball cap doesn't do it for me. I really need to see one in person and sit in it, vision out the back has to be limited.
You truly have to see it in person. I honestly don't think picture do it justice, having sat in one. Jim, MINi has been big in promoting the baseball cap and say that it's the car's defining feature, hence why the body and roof come contrasting at all time unless in all black. Additionally, I do remember the glove box being quite deep when looking into it, but I don't remember the additional padding on the outside.
hmmmm, thing's starting to grow on me. Do you think they'd trade me a fully loaded one for the GP?
