Anyone have little "quirks" that your MINI does? So far, I have the random torque steer (not really a mystery) and sometimes when I hit the window up, it goes down instead. Anyone else?
Quirks ??? Hey KittyMini, that's what you get for buying a new MINI :eek6:. Us poor people that buy used expect "QUIRKS", besides YOU have a warranty , use it . Quirks are what give our babies personality . Later, Mark
Oh, these are nothing to warrant a trip to the dealer..... like you said, these give Artemis, character My old MINI, Nugget, never liked to go into reverse.
I have cast spells, spake oaths and made great smoke but my little guy still likes to catch bugs with his teeth.
The 06 ragtops have a button above the windshield, which tapped, makes all the windows go down. Sometimes, the driver side doesn't go down with the rest. ut:
Quirks? What quirks? Nope, my MINI didn't want to wait for me to start making him unique so he started without me. After seven years I have trouble remembering which things are the quirks because they're just "normal" aspects of Zippy's character to me now.
Oh I do! The little Gremlins make sure that when it's raining (and I mean pouring) and I'm trying to unlock the car the windows and the sunroof automatically open. I can't get my MINI to do it when the sun's shining and it's blistering hot, but if it's pouring rain it will go all by itself.
OOOH, I hope it wasn't you! I found smurf juice on the garage floor under the engine bay, front right, not long ago.
I have many but mostly they are self inflicted Like the big CLUNK heard when the ABS pump cycles and presses the pads into the rotors just after starting the car.
We must love our MINIs or be plain  to put up with all this ut: KittyMini, how ya been  Mark
My car acts remarkably normal, that or maybe I'm so used to the quirks it does have that I don't even notice them. There is the occasional no start when I turn it on which then means I turn it back off and have to crank it a little longer than normal to get her going.
