I was driving home from work in the early hours of this morning when a bandit tried to hold-up the M1N1!!!!! This thing was big. No time to avoid it, so I hit it dead (forgive the pun) centre. I felt sure that the contact had to have done some damage to my car.

Took a look underneath this morning. Nothing. No damage to the "spoiler", body, mechanical bits. Nothing.

    Love that car!!!!!

    Glad to hear it.

I hit a rather large raccoon sometime ago and swore my front end would have damage... nope! Just some fur on the jack point

Guess that means the chicken has truly been wasting its time. The possum and armadillo haven't been paying attention at all, I always though 'coons were smarter than either of them.

I hit one that I though was a medium dog when I had my RSX. It was a hard hit and when I got home that evening I didn't see any damage. But the next day in the light I would see that it some how took about a 2x5 spot of paint off the bottom of the bumper and the paint on that whole side of the bumper was spider webbed. And before that when I had the TT, I hit a cat that made the front bumper pretty much explode. Granted my choices were cat, truck or tree. Always choose the cat. Damn vile creatures.

:cornut: Several yrs. ago I took 35lbs of raccoon under the right front bumper at 65mph(the posted speed) and $5k later they had replaced the fender, right fog light, oil cooler, inter cooler, radiator, and I can't remember what all else but it was $5k. It's all documented back in the threads somewhere.

Ran over a chicken at speed in CR. In went the chicken, out came feathers and bits.

Bigger then a bread box, I try to avoid it, smaller, I just hope it gets out of the way. Racoons are on the bubble with this issue...

That coon would be much more dangerous after-the-fact around here today...as a large, solidly frozen lump of road-kill, just waiting to clean off an unsuspecting oil pan. :frown5:

Nothing bigger that a bird in the MINI but the wife did tag a coyote in our mini van when we lived in the high desert, 29 Palms California. Long stretches of nothing, the only light on the highway is the stars. Anyway she hit it square with the vanity plate, it went under the bumper and out the passenger side wheel well. The only thing it left behind was a little fur on the vanity plate, but man did it rip up the underside of that wheel well along with about a 6 inch rip in the front quarter panel.

I had an AlfaSud in the UK with Kojak tyres(bald) which didn't do well when I ran over a hedgehog! both left side tyres got puntured with the spikes, sadly the hedgehog didn't do so well either!
