I tried to watch it, got bored and watched Bob Seger's Turn the Page instead. Frankly, as with most viral campaigns, it has only been a few days and it is already played out.
I thought it was great. I can't imagine how much time and thought went into making that video. Somebody did a great job!!
Finally watched it, can I have the 3 min of my life back please. Very much in the genre of the foolish Hammer and Coop that that died an inglorious death. Those horrible memories have come flooding back. I need therapy now.
I'm still convinced the entire MINI v. Porsche challenge will wreak of the same cheesy and "hip" nature as these videos. I envision cute little things like shopping cart obstacles, a MPG battle, and a small-car parking spot challenge rather than a true timed track event. Some cheesy, staged setup so the MINI can "win". Like many of you, I'd love to think that MINI has switched courses and will be turning towards their motorsport roots, but videos like this just reinforce the "cute" persona that they've been broadcasting all along.
I never saw any of the Rocky movies, so the joke of the video is lost on me. The best part was when that bearded guy fell off his bike. And damn, that Porsche is sexy.
Hmmmmm....... So I wonder, is Mini playing to a different crowd, or are we all just getting a little bit older?
What is left of an ingenious marketing stunt is rapidly loosing it's grip on to the edge of the toilet bowl....... Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
Well said Minimark, verging on profound! This is playing right into Porsche's non response plan Mini is coming off as the snot nose little brother who isn't being picked for the team if they keep this up. Get that WRC car on the track and stat!
Just a thought. I believe that MINI only said that they were going to bring an "S". Is it possible that they have the WRC car ready and that is what they plan to bring? Jim
I think nate posted that a outfit in the UK was in development of that WRC car for the 2011 or 2012 season
I'm still hopeful they have plans for an early exhibition run with the new 2 seat coopster. Including those two hot twin German babe's.:arf: That would be a great introduction IMO.
