The announcement has been made on MINI United’s official Facebook page. No details are available yet and no we can’t spill anything (yet). But we can tell you it’ll be a little sunnier than 2009’s MINI United in England. More...
Now that it has been confirmed, they must have a location and date. I am sure MINI is still working on finishing some details. But they could at least announce the city, country, and dates. Many of us need to ask for time off work, make airline and hotel reservations, find a place to put the kids and pets, someone to water the plants, someone to pickup the newspaper and mail, pay down our credit cards so we have some room, ask unlce Joe to borrow the luggage, ask aunt Betsy to borrow some cash, go shopping so we have cool Mini clothes to wear, find a rental Mini at the City for MU, brag to all our freinds that we are going, post on all the websites that we are going, but most of all we need to tell our Minis that they will be left behind So lets hear it MINI - WHen and WHere??? Thanks
Same deal with MINI Takes The States. I personally don't think they give folks enough time to make plans. Either way, I'd like to make it over there. Of course, it does depend on where and when.
They announced Spain while we are at MINI United @ Silverstone UK last year but I don't remember a city being announced. I had a great time but I think it being the 50th anniversary and it being in the UK made it even better. Since Spain isn't a country I have any desire to visit and there probably being way fewer Minis/MINIs in attendance, I'm not attending. It is neato to visit the booths and seeing the Euro Minis/MINIs but that starts getting old at the end of the first day.
Oh, and with the possible collapse of the economies of Portugal and Spain, I would worry about possible violence in the streets. Something to think about.
