MITM 2012 - Registration Open

Registration for MINIs In The Mountains 2012 has begun! The 7th annual "MITM" event, brought to you by MINI5280.org and sponsored by Ralph Schomp MINI (Denver), will take place Aug. 2-5 at Winter Park Resort, Colo. Featured this year: MINIs Only Autocross (2nd annual), NUF! Car Show (that's FUN spelled backwards), guided drives to scenic destinations on twisty highways, MINI-related vendors, plus many summer mountain activities; including mountain biking, hiking, disc golf and more. Fun for the whole family, only 67 miles west of Denver in the cool, beautiful mountains. Make plans now and enjoy Winter Park Resort discounted lodging at the special MITM group rate. MITM registration is required and it closes July 15, so don't delay.

MITM 2012 Update #1

A few of the fun things to do at MITM this year will be a combination of rides which will be shorter in duration and may end a destination which has a special activity.

Our Ride Leader has been working on the rides and activities to make these more enjoyable for all.

Also, you might have noted on the MITM registration website that our group dinner is going to be in the town of Winter Park at The Library Sports Grill and Brewery (LSGB).

The dinner will be MITM only, we will have exclusive use of the LSGB, good food, cash bar and lots of fun.

Come out, visit with all the friends you have made from past MITM events, make new friends and motor in the Rockies.

The MINI only AutoX is on Friday, BMWCCA is supporting us on the AutoX and they will have a BMWCCA event on Saturday which is part of the BMWCCA AutoX Summer Series, MINIs are welcome to participate both days, but MINI only on Friday.

On Saturday night we will be having some food and libations at The Library in WP, come enjoy.

Registration closes in 10 Days

quick count shows we have 170 MINIs registered and a total of 215 people which does not include kids, dogs and day-trippers for Friday and Saturday.

I have not checked stats this AM, but a few registered over the 4th of July.

You have 10 days to get registered, then we are closed. WP is will honor the MITM room rates for you before and after MITM, so come up and enjoy the cool mountain air.

Here is last weekends distribution by State, it has changed already.

You have 1 day to get a registration online at the MITM store.

Current counts + or - a correction or two.

223 Registered MINI Drivers, 59 Registered Passengers/Participants.

272 total folks coming up officially.

We have 166 in for dinner on Saturday night, fun and more fun (beer comes to mind). :wink:

We have 38 MINIs entered in the car show for Saturday.

We have 30 MINIs entered for the MINI only AutoX on Friday.

Don't know how many folks are entered for the BMWCCA AutoX (Regional Points Competition) being held in the same facility at MITM on Saturday. Should be fun to watch. :fingerscrossed:

I will post an update on Monday with some final counts perhaps.

As noted, Registration for MITM is closed.

Rough numbers are 317 people registered for MITM.

248 Drivers/MINIs. More will come up on day trips. With cars from our Sponsors, I expect to see 275 MINIs and Minis.

Final counts and State totals will be posted after the powers that be work magic on the database from our website.

Remember to come up and say HI, I will be in registration/check-in and walking about the area with all the other folks.

Up at WP today, getting the check-in room filled up with stuff. We setup on Wed, check-in starts on Thursday AM.

Looking forward to seeing all of you.
