Hi all! I just took my 2012 S ALL4 on a road trip to Florida and back from Connecticut. 4,000 miles in 8 days was TONS OF FUN! I had the ECU reflashed with a tune at Performance Auto Works in Miami.... Apparently we were the first ALL4 to be tuned. After putting the car on a Dyno, it reached numbers around 207 hp and 250 lb/ft of torque without any intake/exhaust work. I took the car to MINI of Orlando, where they have a "mod section" run by a great guy named Mike Garcia.... Best part is that all the work they do doesn't void the warranty! We put on an Akrapovic Down Pipe (With no check engine light by using an 18mm spark plug spacer on the bottom O2 sensor) Then a JCW mid pipe along with cutting the silencer out... so now it is a straight pipe out of the akrapovic and Lastly, an unmodified JCW backbox The car sounds like this: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGfNPkeEJ_I]MINI Countryman S ALL4 Custom Exhaust - YouTube[/ame] Kyle
Very nice! Did they retune after you added the new exhaust or did they preprogram it for the exhaust?
It was tuned for the stock car.... After the exhaust... and soon to be intake, the tune does need to be revisited.... So PAW is going to work on the tune to make it perfect... then I will send my ECU down to them and they will reprogram it with the exact custom tune for my car Kyle
This is what a cold start sounds like! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQA4zxpiaFs]MINI Countryman Cold Start - Custom Exhaust - YouTube[/ame] Kyle
It can be a little loud on the highway... Nothing that would bother me, but you do need to turn up the radio a little bit to hear it. Kyle
