Enjoy the Doughnuts and Conversation.... Same bat time, same bat place. That would be about 8:30ish in the morning at the Tim Horton's / Wendy's in New Albany.
Reminder that Wendy's will no longer be serving breakfast at this location. Still a fine location as Tim Horton's offers mighty fine donuts.
So I finally just looked up "same bat time, same bat place" to figure out what the heck the bat meant because I thought it was some sort of internet acronym I didn't know. You all probably know this but I guess it stems from the 60s Adam West Batman tv show... It was his sign off, "same bat time, same bat channel." I just found it interesting and perhaps informative for those of you who didn't know.
You young whippersnapper! Why back when I was a kid, TV's didn't have the HD and there were dials you had to cross the room to change! You were lucky to get three channels and maybe the PBS or a local channel! Our Batman was funny, and didn't growl like he had a throat disease! Our phones were tethered to the wall! We made better plans! Get off my lawn!:sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep:
I'm not that young. I grew up with tethered phones. We even had a rotary phone and a tv right before remote with rabbit ears and a VCR that I shoved random items into. However, I never liked comics or action figures (dolls); I grew up with scooby and hot wheels. Hot wheels before they were junk plastic that is.
I had a black and white TV with those cool plastic clear yellow knobs with the channel #'s on it! It sat on a stand with the same yellow clear plastic wheels on two legs! Most days with a tower 60 ft in the air, could get one watchable channel and one that was pretty snowy. No remote needed, only one channel was coming in anyway!
Today's kids have got it EASY! Anyone want to go for a drive after kicking tires? I am craving fried bologna!!
Are we moving to the new donut Bat Cave or staying in Nalbany? There had been talk of a move. Anyone have Alfred's phone number?
Well since we are mostly off topic at this point... I enjoyed the new Batman Trilogy...Throat Disease and all...
I haven't seen the last one yet, but did like the first two. M.A.D. refuses to watch them because of the throat disease!
