1) what exactly is mid ohio motoring, and what exactly does one have to do to be a part of it? I own a MINI, and I'm from central Ohio...am I already in the club? Are there any dues? Anything special to do for that sweet grill badge? 2) what exactly do the Saturday morning breakfasts...or "donuts" as I see posted around quite a bit, entail? And when would the one this month be? The 18th I'm guessing? 3) I've been involved with local car shows for a while now, but with Jaguars. Do people from MOM show cars at the local shows around Columbus? I'll stop at 3 for now. Thanks for your input in advance!
We are the un-club. Just a group of friends who enjoy cars & drive MINI's although all are welcome. No dues, because we are not a club. You can buy a grill badge if you'd like one. Come on over on the 18th we'd like to meet you. :donut1: Breakfast entails drinking coffee eating donuts & talking cars with friends. I guess some folks show their cars, but don't think it is many. Mostly we like to drive them on the back roads.
Yeah..... Especially the driving on the back roads part. We have some truly expert back woods trackers. Can't wait for the annual "Salamander" run.....
If you enjoy DRIVING, DONUTS, and MINI's you can be a MoM. Stop out on the 18th eat some donuts and kick some tires. (Bacon is optional) :donut1::donut1::donut1:
oh yeah, welcome to MA and the addiction we call Motoring. Barnaby looks great....black is the best color....and very nice red interior surfaces.
MoM is a loose conglomeration of people that share a common interest of Cars, Donuts, Driving and good camaraderie that to me just seemed to form around MINI ownership. Coming from a formal club that had bylaws, officers, annual elections and all that carp MoM is a much better fit for me. There is none of that traditional organizational stuff. Fun, Friends and Donuts!
Where do you live? I think I might have seen you this week. Black on black looks great. Also please tell us more of your Jaguars.
Driving a "donut" may sound hard at first, but Crash can give you lessons and you'll get the hang of it in no time. The MoM organization is so laid back, they even have a chapter here in PA. Jim
I live on the north side of Columbus in Worthington, but I work in Hilliard so I take that north part of 270 every day. About the Jags: my dad is really involved with the Jag club of central ohio. I drove a '92 Jaguar XJ6 in high school and we have had a bunch. Right now we just have a '75 XJ6 and an '03 XJ8 but we were up to 4 at one point. The group sounds great. I'll see if I can make the trip out to get donuts next weekend. Nothing like a bunch of MINI's together in one place
Its a good group! I would still show up even after the MINI was gone... I'd just park in "the other row" with the other non-MINIs haha. I think y'all are probably what I miss most about Ohio.
