My 2007 MCS has buttons on the wheel... but nothing happens when I put them? Is the button present with w/o option of bluetooth....?

    Second,

My Mini seems depressed, as the headlamps are settling in downward angle, could they be adjust up simply?

    Thanks for the feedback...

    Cheers

The buttons are there with or with out blue tooth, but there are kits available to make them work.

Mine had a real down angle on the head lights too and they can be adjusted. How you do it depends on they type lights you have.

I have the same 'dead' buttons on my 07 MCS

If you have the Xenon headlights they are self adjusting and they *should* do a little test upon start-up where the headlights kind of nods up and down is the only way I can describe it.

If you have the regular lights I'm at a loss what to suggest

If you have the regular lights I can tell you how to adjust them. I believe I have read where to others can be aimed higher too.

    Rolling

:rolleyes5:The Xenon's roll down and up at start up... I just wish he was more enthusiastic, so I'd like them to level out a little higher... the point of view is low enough... LOL

If you have the Xenons try this:

Each headlight has two adjustment screws. They look like a hexagon that extends about 3/4 inch from the back of the headlight housing. There is a slot cut across the hexagon so you can use a straight blade screwdriver to turn them. Loosen to raise the light. The INBOARD screw is for up/down and the OUTBOARD screw is for left/right.

On my 03 I have the Xenon lamps lifted very slightly.

Have you driven with modern factory Xenons? I ask this because the Shutter cuts (cuts lines between light and dark) are very sharp, and it is a hard horizontal line right in front of you, then goes up on the right, down the ditch to light signage/let you see to the right. This takes some getting used to. There is not much point lighting the air as far as these lamps cast light, plus it is blinding to oncoming traffic. I lifted mine very little, and I never get flashed for blinding on-comers.

I have the regular ones and had to raise them a fair amount before I felt comfortable. I have never had an on coming car indicate they were too high, but they don't have the power of the Xenons.

Not seeing those Hex heads with flat heads from the back? There are galvanized hexs one on front lower toward center and another on the radiator frame rail which spans from top of the struts.

Mark, thanks for the feedback. The lights are bright and they have definite limit in their current config. The left one is shorter than the right, and it seems like my normal beam stops at 3-400 feet where it stops abruptly, So I was hoping to get more range on the highway without highbeams on.

The xenon lights on my 08 were low when compared to my wifes 07 and I found the two screws they talk about using an allen wrench and the inside of a garage door I brought both lights up slightly. The advantage the R56 has is that you don't have to open and close the bonnet to make the adjustments. The auto level function keeps the lights out of approaching traffic but it sure does brighten up the night :D

The auto level feature is req'd on the HID's by law. It only adjusts for a load in the boot, you should still adjust the lights for the proper pattern when empty.

I routinely check my lights at each oil change. They usually req a minor adjustment to get back to my liking.

Mine do. Get on the throttle HARD while rolling about 15-20 mph:D and watch them lift from the car rearing back, and then dip. Car is still reared back:Thumbsup:

The lamps are not part of the bonnet on 2nd gens, so those MINIs can't gaze at the stars:lol:

No...he menat that you don't have to make an adjustment, close the hood, check lights, open hood to make adjustmant, close hood..........etc.

The R56 allow the headlights to be adjusted while the hood is open.

Lotsie.......I can't seem to get my car to dive much while braking or accelerating. Must be the awesome suspension I have.
