I'm with you Nate The Fiat is a fine ""LITTLE"" car but not even in the same class as a Mini. (Any Mini) They are very tiny and have a crap interior. They are a very good car for a person that never wants to get out of a city. They get horrible fuel mileage on the interstate and decent around town. I have a friend that had one and she could get 28/30 around town but only 23 on the highway at 75 MPH. She wanted a mini with the automatic transmission but none of the dealers had one in stock so she bought a Honda. She did not want to order and wait. I kind of like the Fiat's but sure don't want to ever own another one. I had a 1959 Fiat when I was 16 years old. I just can't understand why they always try to compare that little city only car to a Mini that is good at every thing including 75 mph cruising on the highway as well as a great city car. The Mini has more room, better MPG & a much nicer interior.
Not that I care much about what the rag Motor Trouble says. but I do agree with them. While I like the Abarth just fine:eek6:, the MINI is a better car for sure.
I've heard that the Motor Trend Car of the Year award goes to the manufacturer who spends the most for advertising in Motor Trend. Dave
