In 48 hours we will be among the first people in the world (outside of MINI) to drive the F56 MINI Cooper and Cooper S. We will also have access to MINI executives, engineers and designers. So this all begs the question – what do you want to know? What do you want us to […] (visit MotoringFile for the full article) More...
Yeah.... #1 Ask the engineers if the F56 Justa bumper will direct fit/replace the "S" / JCW bumpers, both front and back? #2 The current rumor has it that MINI plans to offer an aftermarket F56 front and rear bumper replacement.... Is this true and will it be a factory up-charge option? #3 How soon will the F56 LCI bumper redesign be offered? And will it be available sans stickers? Ummmmmm...... That's pretty much the only questions I have... Thank you....
Not my direct experience, but I have been told those 2 meds make one mellow & maybe more artistic. I'm figuring it was crack they was smoking.....
You all know that MF will stroke the car as they have continued to do.....can't piss off the folks that give them the cars now can they.
Yeah we are the group that would walk up to the mother of a newborn baby and say: "Damn that's one ugly baby":lol::lol:
1. Whats it like to drive an absolute abomination... 2. Were the designers on a 3 week Breaking Bad bender when they designed it... 3. Why does it look like 2 hyundai's had sex 4.Why you all continue to have your lips attached to MINIs collective @$$ and 10 to 1 say you write a great review of the car because you would hate to upset your daddy 5.oh and your technique on cupping them...you know what i mean hahahaha
My prediction for the MF bottom line statement: "The F56 is better in every way to it's predecessors." There. No need to bother with questions.

Honestly, I'd be shocked if it wasn't. The MotoringFile staff keep claiming over and over that they don't pull punches when it comes to reviews, but Gabe gets free long term loaners (up to a year!) for personal use and that has no influence?
Yep he's not going to mess with his free lunch. That has been very obvious for quite a long time. Even a dolt like me could see that.
Lol you guys write like MF has never said a model was underpowered or that its aero was atrocious. WRR gets quoted around here and both encompass the same cast. I'm all for casting a critical eye at a brand or even at reviews, but these assertions directed at MF seem to lack merit when looking at their work as a whole. Just my opinion, feel free to disagree.
Yeah If I was getting free "loaner" cars for extended amount of time I would think the car was AWESOME too. (But only because it was free) I will drive a Fiat and tell you it great if you give me one.
Free country, we are all still allowed to have our own opinions. Not sure anyone here has ever said MF has never disliked anything. Bet they dislike this thread. :biggrin5: Heck I'd take a free Abarth. Where's the line start? :donut1:
It's not WRR that's the problem, it's the written reviews, which are mostly Gabe's. The things they criticize are all minor things, stuff that isn't going to set BMW off, like cupholders. If it's something major, they'll minimize it.
What MotoringFile actually wrote, and this is typical of the way they minimize criticism: MotoringFile » Archive » The Top Ten Things We Love About the New MINI (And Five We Don't) Pretty mild comment for something that has provoked an almost universal storm of protest in the MINI community.
Minimizing and being non-critical are two different things. Initial comments in this thread said MF would give glowing reviews and now the tone is their critique is too mild. I never said WRR was the problem, what I was saying is that reading MF in conjunction with listening to WRR, over time it gives you a better detail with where they stand on things. I don't think it's a requirement that one be as blunt and offensive with their critique as possible.
