    So I've been toying around with creating a 3d rendering of our rear suspension so I can see the effects of control arm length on camber curves....but I'm curious, does anyone have more info on the dimensions?

    Stupidly I modeled it with W=Y and X=Z, but obviously that would leave no camber curve:lol: Anyone happen to know the values or have estimates? I know center to center on the control arms is around 20-21, right?

    [This isn't the rendering:prrr:]

    Aren't the bolts eccentrics and thats how you adjust the camber?

    Yes.

    I'm after the amount of camber change we see throughout travel. Based on what I've read, shortening the arms has a direct effect on the camber/travel curve, so I just wanna check it out and get a better grasp on it.

    Thanks:D, very nice look at the suspension. Didn't find any measurements though.

    Yeah, I know, I figured the link would be helpful, but I don't think those measurements are published anywhere. I think you have to get out a string and figure things out.

    OK, here you go Rally......
    I was under the 09 MINI this morning taking some measurements for my custom exhaust. While there I took your requested measurements.

    W= 2-3/8"
    X= 20-3/4"
    Y= 8-3/16"
    Z= 20-5/8"

    As you know, the rear as some adjustment with cam bolts. Mine is with stock suspension (not lowered). As best I could measure at the center points of all connections.:Thumbsup:

    Awesome, thanks so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to grab those measurements while you were under there:Thumbsup:

    I measured mine and this is what I got.

    w= 2 3/8
    x= 20 25/32
    y=8 21/32
    z= 20 19/32

    All of my control arms are adjustable and are set to -1.50' camber and +0.02' toe. And I have the oem cam adjustment removed and locked out.
    It' kinda interesting to note that the lower arms are actually shorter than the upper arms. This was puzzling at first, but I hung a plumbob from the mounting bolts and found that the inside bolts are inline with each other while the outer mount points on the swing arm are not.
    By the way the car is an 05 JCW R53.
