Earlier this month at Texas World Speedway I managed to run a competitive race with Richard in his very well prepared E36. [ame="http://youtu.be/RWIOKX6nlIs"]Race 1 of the NASA weekend at TWS.[/ame] Best race so far! Managed to keep Richard in sight for the whole race, and set fast lap of class. Rob goes off @ T4 on L1. Almost got Richard when we caught an SU car @ T3 on L4. -------------------------------------------------------- I thought I'd go narcissistic and post it here.
Great to be able to Ride Along Alan, Thanks for posting the video. Felt like I was sitting in the back seat. Heart rate increased. Wonderful video with track position, speed, and lap time displayed. What system are you using? NASA is a grassroots racing organization. They have races across the country. I plan on attending a NASA event at Daytona International this weekend, as only a spectator, unfortunately. Alan, keep posting your videos. Don't have a track car prepared yet, so I will have to get my driving experience through riding along with you.
I use Trackmaster running on my android phone with an external bluetooth GPS to collect the data. Don't bother with Trackmaster though, it is a zombie app now. Get Harry's Laptimer - works on iphone or android now. RaceRender takes the video from the GoPro and the data from the phone to create the vid with overlay I upload to youtube.
Thanks, but be careful what you wish for. I'm at Eagles Canyon this weekend. If one of the 4 races is worth it (not too boring), I'll post something late next week.
